SIGNAL HILL CITY COUNCIL
May 14, 2024
A Special Meeting of the Signal Hill City Council was held in-person in the Council Chamber on May 14, 2024.
(1) CALL TO ORDER – 6:00 P.M.
(2) ROLL CALL
(3) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
(4) PUBLIC BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR
Sharam Yashar, property manager for 1850 Redondo Avenue addressed the City Council regarding the water billing.
(5) BUDGET STUDY SESSION
BUDGET STUDY SESSION
Staff presented the preliminary Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-25 (Year 1) and 2025-26 (Year 2) for City Council review and discussion, which includes department program budgets, Capital Improvement Program, and decision packages.
City Council asked questions and discussed the budget.
Council Member Hansen left the Council Chamber at 6:29 p.m. and returned at 6:30 p.m.
Council Member Jones left the Council Chamber a 6:47 p.m. and returned at 6:48 p.m.
Vice Mayor Wilson arrived at 7:10 p.m.

Council Member Jones left the Council Chamber at 7:43 p.m. and returned at 7:46 p.m.
City Council discussed the budget, thanked staff and provided staff with direction.

There was no new business
(7) ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by COUNCIL MEMBER JONES and seconded by COUNCIL MEMBER COPELAND to adjourn tonight's meeting to the next regular meeting of the Signal Hill City Council to be held immediately following tonight's Special Meeting on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
MAYOR WOODS adjourned the meeting at 8:51 p.m.
