Good morning,
We are writing to inform you of the recent change at the Southeast Resource Recovery Facility (SERRF) in Long Beach. Due to the termination of the contract between Covanta and the City of Long Beach, SERRF will be permanently closed for decommissioning to start on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
The last day that loads will
be accepted is Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
We appreciate your business over the years and thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
Other public facility locations for your waste include the South Gate Transfer Station, and the Puente Hills Materials Recovery Facility in Whittier. Details about these disposal options can be found at www.lacsd.org/facilities.
