RESOLUTION NO. 2024-12-6848
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE 2025 COMMEMORATIVE FLAG DISPLAY SCHEDULE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Signal Hill, California, adopted a Commemorative Flag Policy (Resolution No. 2019-10-6444) at its meeting of October 8, 2019; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Signal Hill, California, amended the Commemorative Flag Policy (Resolution No. 2021-10-6642) at its meeting of October 26, 2021; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Signal Hill, California, held an agendized discussion at its meeting of November 12, 2024, to discuss the proposed display of commemorative flags for 2025; and WHEREAS, the City Council directed staff to provide outreach to the Cambodian and Thai communities to determine if a proper commemorative New Year flag celebrating the Cambodian and Thai communities could be added to the display schedule for April 2025. Outreach continues with the respective communities and a proper commemorative flag would be added to the display schedule for 2025 if agreed upon by the communities; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Signal Hill, California, desires to establish a Commemorative Flag Display Schedule for 2025.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Signal Hill hereby adopts the 2025 Commemorative Flag Display Schedule attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Signal Hill, California, on this 10th day of December, 2024. ________________________________
