DISCUSSION REGARDING CITY FIREWORKS ORDINANCE
Summary:
On January 28, 2025, the City Council requested staff prepare an introductory agenda item to allow discussion of the City’s Fireworks Ordinance. The City Council will discuss the fireworks ordinance and provide staff with direction as desired.
Strategic Plan Goal(s):
Goal No. 5 High-Functioning Government: Strengthen internal communication, recruitment, retention, systems, and processes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of City services
Recommendation:
Discuss the fireworks ordinance and provide direction to staff as desired.
Fiscal Impact:
There is minimal fiscal impact associated with the recommended action.
Background:
At the City Council meeting of January 28, 2025, Mayor Jones requested staff place this item on the agenda for the meeting of February 11, 2025; Vice Mayor Hansen provided a vote in support of additional discussion. Staff included this item on the agenda for initial discussion. Pursuant to Section
