Care Network – For Patients & Families
Pediatric Experts. Local Access. Lifelong Care.
o At Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital, we believe your child deserves more than just a doctor, they deserve a dedicated care team.

That’s why we created the Miller Children’s Care Network (MCCN), connecting families in South Los Angeles and Coastal and North Orange County with trusted pediatricians close to home.
o MCCN is built on a strong collaboration among leading specialists, community doctors, and independent pediatric practices. These providers work together with our hospital experts to deliver coordinated, high-quality care - whether it’s for routine visits or complex medical needs. Through this partnership, children across Southern California benefit from enhanced care.

Miller Children's & Women's
Neonatal Network
Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital, in partnership with Pediatrix Medical Group, continues to strengthen its commitment to neonatal care through the Miller Children’s & Women’s Neonatal Network. This collaboration enhances the hospital’s existing specialized services by supporting community hospitals, ensuring that all premature or critically ill newborns have access to the appropriate level of care, regardless of location.

The goals of the network include:
o Collaboration: working together to share data, best practices, and expertise o Quality improvement: identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices
o Patient access: ensuring all newborns have access to the necessary level of treatment regardless of location
Miller Children’s & Women’s is a level IV NICU – highest level in California. Through the new neonatal network, we’re bringing Miller Children’s & Women’s physicians to other community NICUs.

Re-investing in the Community:

Advanced Technology Capabilities
• Completed Los Angeles’ first pediatric Inspire® procedure helping children with Down syndrome suffering from obstructive sleep apnea
o Inspire is an FDA-approved obstructive sleep apnea device that can help treat and prevent sleep apnea for children who cannot use Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy and are not effectively treated by adenotonsillectomy (surgical removal of the tonsils and adenoids) • 7D Surgical Navigation platform for intraoperative navigation for spinal deformity surgeries o This platform eliminates radiation exposure, cutting operative times and improving safety of accurate screw placements in even the smallest patients
• Vecta Deluxe Mobile Sensory Station Helps Our Child Life Team Relax Patients with Special Needs o Complete with a bubble tube, 4-button color control, projector and fiber optic tails it helps Child Life team with distraction and relaxation techniques for non-verbal and those with special needs remain calm before or after a procedure
Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital is committed to serving the community. As a not-for-profit hospital, it reinvests in creating new programs and care pathways that improve access, quality, and efficiency of pediatric care.
