RESOLUTION NO. 2025-06-6933
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2026-05-XXXX DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO LEVY AND COLLECT ASSESSMENTS FOR LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-27 TO REVISE THE PUBLIC HEARING DATE WHEREAS, on May 26, 2026, the City Council of the City of Signal Hill adopted Resolution No. 2026-05-6933 initiating proceedings to levy and collect assessments for Fiscal Year 2026-27 within Landscape and Lighting Maintenance District No. 1 pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2026-05-6933 scheduled a public hearing for June 9, 2026, to consider the proposed annual assessments; and WHEREAS, staff has determined that additional time is necessary to satisfy the public notice publication requirements prescribed by the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Resolution No. 2026-05-6933 to revise the public hearing date from June 9, 2026, to June 23, 2026, while leaving all other provisions of the resolution unchanged.
NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals:
The foregoing recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by this reference; Section 2. Section 1 of Resolution No. 2026-05-6933 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"The City Council does hereby declare its intent to levy and collect assessments within Landscape and Lighting Maintenance District No. 1 for Fiscal Year 2026-27. The public hearing is scheduled for June 23, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m. and will be conducted in the City Council Chamber located at Signal Hill City Hall, 2175 Cherry Avenue, Signal Hill, California 90755. Information regarding participation in the public hearing will be included in the City Council agenda and posted on the City's website." Section 4. Prior Actions Remain in Effect.
Except as expressly amended herein, all provisions of Resolution No. 2026-05-6933 shall remain unchanged and in full force and effect.
Section 5. Effective Date - This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
