RESOLUTION NO. 2026-07-6952
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL APPROVING PARTICIPATION IN THE LOS ANGELES URBAN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM BY AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE TO SIGN A COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES WHEREAS, the City of Signal Hill ("City") desires to participate in the Los Angeles Urban County Program for Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funds for the qualification period beginning July 1, 2027; and WHEREAS, the City authorizes the execution of a Cooperation Agreement with the County of Los Angeles in order to receive said CDBG funds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL, CALIFORNIA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council adopts and approves its participation in the Los Angeles County Urban County Program and receiving CDBG funds and execution of the Cooperation Agreement between the City of Signal Hill and the County of Los Angeles for the time period of July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2030.
Section 2. The City Council authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Cooperation Agreement, any and all related documents necessary, for participation in the Los Angeles Urban County Program on behalf of the City.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Signal Hill, California, on this 28th day of July 2026.
