SUBJECT: A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER CITY-INITIATED MUNICIPAL CODE TEXT AMENDMENTS (Z -S-2022-0001), TO AMEND PORTIONS OF
TITLE 9 OF THE SIMI VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE
CLARIFICATIONS, DEFINITIONS, AND UPDATED DEVELOPMENT
PERMIT PROCEDURES; A DETERMINATION THAT THE
AMENDMENTS ARE EXEMPT FROM THE CALIFORNIA
ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA); AND INTRODUCTION OF AN
ORDINANCE
Subsequent to the preparation of this staff report, staff discovered the following typographical errors:
1. On page 4 of the City Council staff report, amendment 7 should be revised to:
“This section will define a supermarket as a retail business 50,00 01 square feet or greater, which sells a line of dry grocery, canned goods, non -food items, and some perishable items. The amendment is presented in Part 2 of Ordinance No. 1341.”
2. On page 20 of proposed Ordinance No. 1341, part 2 should be revised to:
“Supermarket. A retail business 50,0001 square feet or greater, which sells a line of dry grocery, canned goods, or non-food items, and some perishable items (see “Food Store” for markets under 50,0001 square feet).”
