In accordance with the goals established in the CAC five year Strategic Plan, the Young Artists Playground (YAP) Arts Education program was launched in Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-22. To assist with supporting the YAP Arts Education program at the Cultural Arts Center, the CAC applied for, and was granted, a Creative Youth Development Grant from the California Arts Council in the amount of $36,000.

The following alternatives are available to the City Council:

1. Accept a $36,000 Creative Youth Development Grant from the California Arts Council for the Young Artists Playground Arts Education Program at the Cultural Arts Center, authorize the City Manager or Designee to execute all grant related documents, and approve a supplemental budget request;

2. Do not authorize acceptance of the Creative Youth Development Grant from the California Arts Council;
