UBJECT: ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING PARCEL MAP LD -S-689,
LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF NAPLES COURT, APPROXIMATELY 240 FEET SOUTH OF ROYAL AVENUE
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
I
t is recommended that the City Council adopt attached R esolution No. 2023 -26 (page 3) approving Parcel Map LD -S-689, located on the west side of Naples Court, approximately 240 feet south of Royal Avenue.
BACKGROUND AND OVERVIEW
The
requested action provides for City Council ’s acceptance of Pa rcel M ap LD-S-689, including dedication of a four-foot wide street right- of-way on Royal Avenue, the right of public ingress and egress to Royal Avenue, and an access easement to all governmental agencies for public safety, health , and welfare.
Parcel Map LD -S-689 (Attachment A , page 4 ) is comprised of three residential estate lots on a 0.73 -acre site located on the west side of Naples Court, approximately 240 feet south of Royal Avenue. The owner of the parcel is the Robin Salame Family Trust.

entative Parcel Map LD -S-689 was approved by the Planning Commission on November 3, 2021, by SVPC Resolutio n No. 12- 2021, and by the City Council on December 20, 2021, by Resolution No. 2021-51.
FINDINGS AND ALTERNATIVES
T
he City Engineer finds that the parcel map conforms to the Subdivision Map Act and local ordinances.

The following alternatives have been identified for City Council consideration:
1. A
dopt attached Resolution No. 2023-26 approving Parcel Map LD-S-689, located on the west side of Naples Court, approximately 240 feet south of Royal Avenue;
2. Do
not adopt the attached resolution and provide staff with other direction S
taff recommends Alternative No. 1.
SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL MOTION
I move to approve attached Resolution No. 2023-2 6 approving Parcel M ap LD- S-689, located on the west side of Naples Court, approximately 240 feet s outh of Royal Avenue.
SUMMARY
The City Engineer finds that Parcel Map LD-S-68 9 conforms to the Subdivision Map Act and local ordinances, and recomm ends that the City Council approve the Parcel Map, located on the west side of Naples Court, approximately 240 feet s outh of Royal Avenue.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SIMI VALLEY APPROVING THE FINAL PARCEL MAP FOR
LD-S-689, LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF NAPLES
COURT, APPROXIMATELY 240 FEET SOUTH OF ROYAL
AVENUE
WHEREAS, the tentative map for Parcel Map LD-S-689 was approved by the Planning Commission on November 3, 2021, by SVPC Resolution No. 12- 2021, and by the City Council on December 20, 2021, by Resolution No. 2021-51.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer's Office has required the developer to post a Monument Surety to guarantee payment for the cost of setting property monuments.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIMI VALLEY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1
. The City Council approves the final Parcel Map for LD-S-689 and directs that the final Parcel Map be recorded.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause a certified resolution to be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of May 2023.
