STAFF RECOMMENDATION
It
is recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2024-33 (page 3) accepting public improvements for Tract No. 5886, located at 1748 Heywood Street.
BACKGROUND AND OVERVIEW
The r
equested action provides City Council approval for the acceptance of the public improvements for Tract No. 5886 . These improvements consist of new public sewer, storm drain, landscaping, and street improvements. Tract No. 5886 (Attachment A – Location Map, page 4) is comprised of 40 residential condominium units on a 2.31-acre site located at 1748 Heywood Street. The owner of Tract No. 5886 is Warmington Residential California, Inc.
Th
e tentative map for Tract No. 5886 was approved by the Planning Commission on November 9, 2011, by Resolution No. SVPC 26-2011. The final map for Tract No. 5886 was accepted by the City Council on February 28, 2022. The final map was recorded on March 31, 2022, in Book 170, Pages 23 through 26, of Miscellaneous Records.
FINDINGS AND ALTERNATIVES

ed on staff's inspection of the project, the Public Works Director/ City Engineer finds that the public improvements constructed for Tract No. 5886 are acceptable.

I move that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2024-33 accepting public improvements for Tract No. 5886, located at 1748 Heywood Street.
SUMMARY
The p ublic improvements for Tract No. 5886 have been inspected and found to be acceptable to the Public Works Director/City Engineer. It is recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2024-33 accepting public improvements for Tract No. 5886, located at 1748 Heywood Street.

RESOLUTION NO. 2024-33
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SIMI VALLEY ACCEPTING THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
FOR TRACT NO. 5886, LOCATED AT 1 748 HEYWOOD
STREET
WHEREAS, on February 28, 2022, the City Council approved the final map, improvement securities, and agreement for Tentative Tract No. 5886, located at 1748 Heywood Street; and
WHEREAS, on March 31, 2022, said final map was recorded in Book 170, Pages 23 through 26, of Miscellaneous Records of the County of Ventura; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer's Office has recommended acceptance of the Public Improvements for public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIMI VALLEY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1
. The City Council accepts all the p ublic improvements constructed for Tract No. 5886.
SECTION 2. The City Council exonerates all faithful performance bonds for Tract No. 5886, except for the grading and warranty bonds.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause a certified resolution to be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 22nd day of July 2024.
