SUBJECT: ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION A CCEPTING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR TRACT NO. 6019, LOCATED AT 2145 CALLAHAN AVENUE
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2024-41 (page 3) accepting public improvements for Tract No. 6019, located at 2145 Callahan Avenue.
BACKGROUND AND OVERVIEW
The requested action provides City Council approval for the acceptance of the public improvements for Tract No. 6019. These improvements consist of new public sewer, water, storm drain, and street improvements. Tract No. 6019 (Attachment A - Location Map, page 4) is comprised of 10 detached single-family residences, on a 1.97-acre site, located at 2145 Callahan Avenue. The owner of Tract No. 6019 is Vigorous W Development Co. LTD.
The tentative map for Tract No. 6019 wa s approved by the City Council on January 13, 2020, by Resolution No. 2020-01. The final map for Tract No. 6019 was accepted by the City Council on February 28, 2022, by Resolution No. 2022-10. The final map was recorded on April 15, 2022, in Book 170, Pages 29 through 33 of Miscellaneous Records.
FINDINGS AND ALTERNATIVES
Based on staff's inspection of the project, the City Engineer finds that the public improvements constructed for Tract No. 6019 are acceptable.
The following alternatives are available to the City Council:
1. Adopt Resolution No. 2024-41 (page 3) accepting public improvements for Tract No. 6019, located at 2145 Callahan Avenue,
2. Provide staff with other direction.
Staff recommends Alternative No. 1.

SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL MOTION
I move that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2024-41 accepting public improvements for Tract No. 6019, located at 2145 Callahan Avenue.
SUMMARY
The public improvements for Tract No. 6019 have been inspected and found to be acceptable to the City Engineer. It is recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2024-41 accepting public improvements for Tract No. 6019, located at 2145 Callahan Avenue.

RESOLUTION NO. 2024-41
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SIMI VALLEY ACCEPTING THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
FOR TRACT NO. 6019, LOCATED AT 2145 CALLAHAN
AVENUE
WHEREAS, on February 28, 2022, the City Council approved the final map, improvement securities, and agreement for Tentative Tract No. 6019, located at 2145 Callahan Avenue; and
WHEREAS, on April 15, 2022, said final map was recorded in Book 1 70, Pages 29 through 33, of Miscellaneous Records of the County of Ventura; and
WHEREAS, staff has inspected and the City Engineer's Office has recommended acceptance of the Public Improvements for public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIMI VALLEY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . The City Council accepts all the p ublic improvements constructed for Tract No. 6019.
SECTION 2. The City Council exonerates all faithful performance bonds for Tract No. 6019, except for the grading and warranty bonds.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause a certified resolution to be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
