Brief Explanation of Project Status (including # served to date) During Quarter 2, our agency made significant strides in establishing a high school mentoring program at the Simi Youth Room, with mentors recruited from Simi High School and Royal High School.
Active matches: the program currently supports 7 active matches, with mentors and mentees meeting weekly to foster meaningful connections and personal growth. This growth is tracked through our Youth Development Outcomes Plan where we support youth in developing trackable goals through the duration of the match.
Pending matches: Efforts are underway to finalize 5 additional matches with 5 new Bigs and 5 new Littles pending approval. These matches will help us achieve our goal of expanding the program in the next quarter.
Recruiting efforts: We have employed a variety of recruiting strategies, including outreach events at schools, partnerships with student organizations, community presentations, and collaborations with the Simi Valley Police Department to attract motivated mentors and engage with families in need of our support.
The Simi Youth room has been a hub of meaningful engagement this past quarter and over the holidays to the students and community participating. We have provided academic support to strengthen confidence in school and life skills development through goal setting and vision board activities, community projects such as art workshops and community engagements, and a toy and food drive. The Simi Youth Room also offers fun activities to support the bonding process and engagement with our agency such as game nights, arts and crafts, cooking, seasonal events and parties, indoor/outdoor games, gardening, and health/wellness learning. These activities create a welcoming environment where little's can unwind and explore their interests. This demonstrates the strong foundation we have created for impactful youth mentorship in the city of Simi Valley and reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the youth.

In October, November, and December 2024 we continued our community outreach and assessment regarding the cancer supportive care needs in Simi Valley. Upon gathering input from stakeholders we proceeded to plan an "all cancers" support group and investigated potential locations. Stakeholders included City of Hope staff, Simi Adventist Health staff, our current Simi Valley participants, and other healthcare providers. A location was secured, social media is planned and a print ad has been designed and placed in the Simi/Moorpark Acorn Newspaper. A support group will begin on February 4th and will be held weekly.

Brief Explanation of Project Status (including # served to date) Simi Valley residents continue to benefit from the Many Mansions Supportive Services Program. Since July 2024, the program has reached 32 households (60 individuals), helping residents remain permanently housed by building skills, growing self-determination, and promoting health and wellness.
In total, staff have hosted 57 life-skills workshops and community-building events since the start of the grant term.
Residents benefited from a variety of learning activities and socialization events this quarter. For example, in November, staff held an impactful workshop centered on voting in preparation for the presidential election. Residents learned about voting as an act of civic engagement and how participation in this activity affects the greater community.
At the end of the session, attendees were provided guidance on how to register and where to vote.
Activities promoting community engagement and wellness were themed to reflect the holiday season. During fall, community-building events (such as Halloween pumpkin carving and fall festivities) encouraged creative expression and socialization. Staff also hosted a Turkey Social, where residents shared a Thanksgiving meal, expressed gratitude, and learned how to reduce stress during the holiday season.
We are pleased to report strong achievement towards our objectives, surpassing target outcomes:
- 100% of Supportive Services residents have remained housed. - 87% demonstrated practical life skills by paying their rent on time. - 100% have made progress towards wellness and self-determination by actively engaging with case management and setting personal milestones.
Many Mansions remains grateful to the City of Simi Valley for their support and hope to continue our successful collaboration in the future.

This quarter, PathPoint procured four desktop computers for the 29 people we serve to use in daily programming.
Many individuals are working towards skills pertaining to technological literacy such as safely navigating the web, researching topics and interests they are passionate about, creating a job resume or email address, working on a personal website to sell items such as art, and much more. Staff also utilize the computers for daily lessons, activity planning, logging case notes, and corresponding with parents and community partners. Prior to this, our computers hadn't been updated in many years and were low-functioning and slow. Now, the people we serve and staff have access to the tools they need to be successful! In the next reporting quarter, staff has plans to purchase more ergonomic program furniture that meets the accessibility needs of the people with intellectual and physical disabilities that we serve.
