Program Overview and Match Updates:
As of the 3rd quarter, we are proud to report continued progress in our efforts to support youth in Simi Valley through our one-to-one mentoring program. We currently have eight official matches actively participating in the program. In addition to these official matches, we also have one unofficial match currently in progress as we work toward formalizing their participation.

Collaboration with key community partners continues to be vital to the success of our program. We are proud to report ongoing and growing relationships with the following organizations in Simi Valley and across Ventura County.
Simi Valley Police Department:
Our partnership with the Simi Valley Police Department has been instrumental in deepening our community presence. Through collaborative events such as Shop with a Cop and youth-focused outreach efforts, we have been able to connect with families and share information about our services with those who may benefit most.
Their support at community safety and holiday events helps build trust and awareness for our mission.
Simi Valley and Royal High Schools:
Both Simi Valley High School and Royal High School have been strong allies in our recruitment and referral efforts. Counselors at these schools actively refer students who are in need of mentorship, as well as high schoolers seeking community service opportunities. These partnerships have led to a steady pipeline of potential Bigs and have also helped identify Littles who would benefit from additional support.
Ventura County Probation Agency:
Through our established relationship with the Ventura County Probation Agency, we are able to extend our reach to youth who may be involved in or impacted by the justice system. Their referrals have helped us serve high- need youth and support their growth and rehabilitation through positive mentorship. This connection also aligns with our broader goal of reducing risk factors through early intervention and wraparound support.
These strategic partnerships not only help with recruitment and referrals but also strengthen our collective impact by connecting youth and families to a wider network of care. 6 Remaining

Second Quarter 2025 - During January thru March, 2025 we publicized the support group to the community via social media, the Acorn newspaper, through our healthcare partners and to our existing Cancer Support Community participants. Through these efforts, the residents of Simi Valley welcomed the "All Cancer Support Group" with open arms! We quickly filled all available spots and the support group began meeting at the Rancho Simi Recreation & Parks District office on February 4, 2025.
The support group meets weekly and is a group of both men and women dealing with some unique challenges. Most of the group are in active cancer treatment, and the others are post-treatment.
Our group faciliator and our Program Director meet weekly to discuss the group dynamics, their needs and any issues that may need to be addressed. These weekly meetings also serve as a supportive session for our facilitator, which is a key part of our model.

This quarter, PathPoint has focused on planning and selecting accessible program furniture and equipment for the people we serve. Staff are utilizing this opportunity to re-think the program space in accordance with accessibility needs and to enhance the amount of usable space for diverse activities and programming. Spending has not yet occurred as our landlord has been implementing a few internal building upgrades, and our team is waiting for these to be complete before moving forward. Once the upgrades are finished, the team has a clear plan in place to complete the project.
The improvements that have already been procured with the grant funds in previous quarters (desktop computers, organizational devices, program chairs, and a new refrigerator) continue to benefit the 29 people we serve, allowing them to develop life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and technological literacy.

For the 3rd quarter, we had a significant increase in families using our service.
We served 3,093 families, feeding 9,849 people.
In March, another food pantry in Simi had to close its doors. Due to the economy at this time, we anticipate our numbers to climb even higher. Additionally, millions of dollars have been cut nationwide for the USDA program. This means our food pantry will no longer receive important protein sources like meat, milk, eggs, and cheese.
