SUBJECT: AUTHORIZE A METHOD OF ADVOCACY FOR THE DELTA
CONVEYANCE PROJECT INCLUDED IN THE GOVERNOR’S
PROPOSED TRAILER BILL LEGISLATION
Subsequent to the preparation of this staff report, Calleguas Municipal Water District (Calleguas) has secured a series of meetings in Sacramento on June 11, 2025, to advocate for the Delta Conveyance Project (DCP), which is included in the Governor’s proposed trailer bill legislation.
Director Raul Avila of the Calleguas Board of Directors and Calleguas staff will participate in the following meetings:
• 9:00 a.m. – Briefing with Metropolitan Water District staff • 2:00 p.m. – Meeting with the Chief of Staff to Senator Henry Stern • 3:15 p.m. – Meeting with Assemblymember Steve Bennett • 3:30 p.m. – Meeting with Senator Monique Limón and staff
