Councilmember Smith reported attending the California Insurance Town Hall meeting Councilmember Elizabeth Orona reported an interview with KYET, attending in the California Coastal Commission public hearing via Zoom, suggested a revisit of zoning.

Councilmember Infanti reported attending the Coastal Commission hearing via Zoom, attended a Friends of the Library meeting.
Mayor Brown reported he was the featured speaker at a recent Men’s Forum; attended a Business Forward event sponsored by Econ Alliance and Verizon, the Solvang School fundraiser at Vega Vineyards, the Coastal Commission hearing via Zoom. Suggested a review of business certificate fees, and zoning changes that were made to the Housing Element.

Motion by Councilmember Infanti to approve Consent Items, as presented, seconded by Councilmember Elizabeth Orona, and carried 5-0.

8. DISCUSSION ITEMS
a. Consideration of Enhancing City Contribution to Santa Ynez Valley Aquatic Foundation Pool Project
City Manager Murphy presented the report

Motion by Councilmember Infanti to approve the $50,000 increase in pledge challenge, seconded by Mayor pro tem Claudia Orona.
The motion carried 4-1, Councilmember Elizabeth Orona opposed. b. First Reading for Introduction Ordinance 25-0384 Modifying terms for Advisory Body members City Attorney O’Sullivan presented a report.
There were no public comments on this item.
Motion by Councilmember Elizabeth Orona, to introduce by title only, Ordinance 25-0384, modifying terms for Advisory Body members, for First Reading, seconded by Councilmember Infanti, and carried 5-0.
