1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Wellander called the meeting to order at 9:04 am.
Mayor Wellander stated the discussion items would be reordered, taking Item 2.2 before Item 2.1.
2. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION
Item 2.2: Consider and Possibly Take Action to Approve an Unconditional Commitment Letter to Laurie Alderman Responding to her Brown Act and ADA Violation Claims Set Forth in Her Letter of July 16, 2026
Action: The unconditional commitment letter to Laurie Alderman responding to her Brown Act and ADA Violation Claims Set Forth in Her Letter of July 16, 2026, was approved.
Public Comment: two anonymous speakers.
Motion by Vice Mayor Lowe, seconded by Council Member Ding, to Approve an Unconditional Commitment Letter to Laurie Alderman Responding to her Brown Act and ADA Violation Claims Set Forth in Her Letter of July 16, 2026. Motion carried unanimously.
Item 2.1: Possible Receipt of Presentations and Question & Answer Session with UC Berkeley Haas School of Business Executive MBA Students Regarding Innovation, Challenges, and Opportunities in Sonoma (Cristine Alilovich, lnterim City Manager) Action: Councilmembers provided background information about themselves and their roles with the City, while select UC Berkeley students shared information about themselves and their immersion program.
3. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Wellander adjourned the meeting at 9:37 am.
