CALL TO ORDER Maria del Pilar Avalos, Mayor called a Special City Council Meeting to order at 5:22 p.m.

PROCLAMATIONS The City Council issued a Proclamation declaring November 14, 2023, as Law Enforcement Records and Support Personnel Day. 2 PROCLAMATIONS The City Council presented a Proclamation to Debbie McEvilly in recognition of her 37 years of service to the City of South Gate. 3 PRESENTATIONS/
AWARDS The City Council presented Certificates of Appreciation to the South Gate Chamber of Commerce Board.
4 PERSONNEL- LABOR
RELATIONS The City Council unanimously approved items A & B by motion of Mayor Avalos and seconded by Vice Mayor Hurtado:
a. Employment Agreement (Contract No. 2023-159-CC) between the City of South Gate and Robert Houston effective December 1, 2023; and
b. Authorized the Mayor to execute the Employment Agreement in a form acceptable to the City Attorney.

SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 14, 2023 PROCLAMATIONS The City Council presented a Proclamation to Yolanda Urtez in recognition of her 31 1/2 years of service to the City of South Gate.
ADJOURNMENT Council Member Barron unanimously adjourned tlie meeting at 6:28 p.m. and seconded by Council Member Rios.
