CALL TO ORDER Gil Hurtado, Mayor called a Special City Council Meeting to order at 5:31 p.m.

PRESENTATION The City Council received a presentation by the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
CLOSED SESSION The Council Members recessed into Closed Session at 5:33 p.m. and reconvened at 6:19 p.m. with all Members of Council present. City Attorney Salinas reported the following:
1. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - PENDII%JG
LITIGATION
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a),
54954.9(b)(3)(C)
a. Aurelia Enache v. City of South Gate
On Item 1(a), the city received a report by the City Attorney with respect to the nature of the that litigation which involved an alleged injury from a fall on a city sidewalk. There was a motion made by Vice Mayor Davila and seconded by Council Member Avalos to approve a settlement of that case subject to the approval of our cooperative insurance ICRMA which will be considering this case in the next several weeks. The vote on that was 5-0.
ADJOURNMENT Mayor Hurtado unanimously adjourned the meeting at 6:55 p.m. and seconded by Vice Mayor Davila.
