CALL TO ORDER Gil Hurtado, Mayor called a Special City Council Meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL City Clerk Yodit Glaze
PRESENT Mayor Gil Hurtado, Vice Mayor Maria Davila, Council Member Joshua Barron, and Council Member Al Rios; City Manager Rob Houston LATE Council Member Maria del Pilar Avalos arrived at 5:03 p.m.
City Treasurer Jose De La Paz arrived at 5:01 p.m.
City Attorney Raúl F. Salinas arrived at 5:03 p.m.
CLOSED SESSION The Council Members recessed into Closed Session at 5:02 p.m. and reconvened at 6:06 p.m. with all Members of Council present. Special City Counsel Hardwick reported the following:
CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6
Agency Representation: Rob Houston, City Manager
Employee Organizations: SGPMMA, SGMEA
On item 1, City Council received a presentation made by staff in regard to ongoing labor negotiations. There was no reportable action taken.
CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED
LITIGATION
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(c)
One (1) - Potential Case
On item 2, City Council considered a case of potential litigation against the city and upon completion of that presentation, there was no reportable action taken.
SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF AUGUST 21, 2024 ADJOURNMENT Council Member Avalos unanimously adjourned the meeting at 6:10 p.m. and seconded by Vice Mayor Davila.
