passionate about environmental justice, and creating beautiful, safe, and resilient communities. I feel I can contribute a great deal to this commission. I would bring with me a strong sense of curiosity, innovative ideas, and strategic thinking, as well as a lot of relevant knowledge and experience (details in next section). *
I have been an enrichment educator for over ten years, and I have run many successful programs and events over the years, including community performances, youth clubs, and large-scale donation drives. So I have insight into what works and what doesn’t when it comes to both childcare and recreational programs. My early career in marketing strategy and communications also continues to be an asset both personally and professionally. I view everything I do through a big-picture, strategic lens, which tends to result in better outcomes and lower costs. In recent years, I’ve done a lot of volunteer work on climate and the environment. I began by working with a number of globalscale organizations, helping them manage volunteers and expand their programs. More recently, I have turned my attention to local efforts, including a restoration project on the hillside behind my home, which has given me a lot of knowledge of invasive plant species and local ecosystems. *
One major goal I have for our city is to forge more connections between our neighborhoods. SSF is an incredible place with enormous potential. I'm regularly excited to discover an awesome restaurant, a tucked-away park, a fascinating landmark, or some other hidden gem. But our diverse communities are siloed and hard to explore.

Transforming ourselves into a walkable, interconnected city will drive more business to local shops and improve the quality of life for everyone who lives and works here. *
