I wholeheartedly support this, but there should be more units on the ballot measure. Despite having a population over five times larger than Emeryville, South City is only requesting twice as many units in its Article 34 ballot measure. We have a responsibility to improve the lives of our neighbors, especially those not being served by the current affordable housing system, and the more units the city is able to build or purchase, the greater its ability to do so.
