I want to take a proactive and visible role in helping as well as representing my community. I want to actively try to enhance the town I've grown up in, which includes meeting with local officials, volunteering, and listening to the concerns of citizens. I feel my background in healthcare and the military can contribute to the progressive and community-centered nature of the Board and Commission. I enjoy engaging in conversation and listening to people of various backgrounds. *
I feel my acquired skills in both healthcare and the military reserve give me a unique perspective. I also pride myself on my professionalism, work ethic, and compassion. I feel that I can contribute greatly to the Board. I also recognize that I'm limited in my experience as far as City Council and local politics go. However, I'm also very eager to learn as much as I can. I'm not just content simply reading local news in SSF or San Mateo County. I want to be actively involved as well as visible in my community. *
I envision advancements and growth in the public schooling, public parks, recreation, and library system. I want South San Francisco to be in the forefront in growth and innovation in San Mateo County. I also want to support family owned businesses, and let them know that they're well supported. *

The interest of the City is served best by actual and regular participation by Board and Commission members. Thus, upon the second absence from a regular meeting within any rolling twelve-month period, a member shall receive a written communication from the Mayor requesting that the member respond to the Mayor with an explanation for said absences within one week of the member's receipt of the written communication. The Mayor shall report to the City Council the reasons provided for the member's absences. If the City Council determines that the absences occurred for legitimate reasons, the City Council may excuse both or one of the absences. Members are also encouraged to give advanced notice of their absence from meetings.
