I want to be a member of the SSF Youth Commission because I want to advocate for the social issues our community faces on a larger and more impactful scale. I feel that I can contribute by taking the steps necessary to address these issues with care. I have held leadership positions that have built my understanding of the challenges and needs of the young people. Also, I have always had a passion for leadership and advocacy. My vision for growth in South San Francisco is based on social inclusion. I want our community to be built on inclusivity and equal opportunities, where people from diverse backgrounds can voice their opinions and be heard. Since 2021, I have been a youth group leader at my church, where I am given the opportunity to collaborate with my peers to plan and execute special events. I have also volunteered at my old elementary school to assist teachers and staff members with fun events for their students. ✔ ✔
