What is your vision for growth in South San Francisco?
My interest in continued service on the SSF Library Board is centered on the opportunities inherent in a new facility and excitement for embarking on a new strategic plan process.
Having spent the last three years as a library board member, I've come to learn so much more about the library system, our patrons, and our services. From this experience, I hope to contribute new ideas on how to maximize the use of the new LPR facilities by partnering with other departments and learning from best practices in libraries in other communities.
I've been honored to serve for the last three years as a member of the SSF Library Board and have been a regular patron. I also bring a background in P-12 education, higher education administration, and public service to the role.
South San Francisco is making great strides in its efforts to grow in a way that is welcome to all. My vision for sustained and meaningful growth is for the city to operate with an intentional and informed approach focused on providing essential quality of life services to all residents in all parts of the city. Our new, centrally-located LPR facility can be the center of what inclusive growth looks like by providing access to learning, resources, and a place to connect, particularly for our most vulnerable residents.
