What is your vision for growth in South San Francisco?
I'm very passionate about South San Francisco. As a new resident who has purchased a home here, I want to be active in my community and give back. I think SSF has an enormous amount of potential for being a unique hub for arts, culture, and business. The city is truly a hidden gem! I want to help build this community. I feel very passionate about the downtown area (which I live in) and want to help support measures and projects that will revitalize it even more.

I'm currently the president of the 200 Linden Ave Home Owners Association; by profession I am Program Manager who manges large, complex programs for a major software company.

I also sit on the board of directors for a Japanese Cultural Arts non-profit. In addition to these things, I am an artist and designer. My personal design group celebrates creative spaces and how they play important roles in building our communities.

I envision a revitalized, core downtown with thriving businesses and restaurants that are classy and chic. I see the potential of it being a beautifully redesigned and landscaped area which is pedestrian focused, community centered, with the health and well-being of residents in mind. By re-envisioning it to be a place where residents (and tourists!) will want to come and hang out. We have a number of classy businesses starting to move in and we need to keep the momentum up! For example, having a thriving Farmer's Market moved from Orange Park to downtown where people can meet neighbors and pop into the local shops. Our downtown area has incredibly enormous potential to really uplift our community and make it thrive even more!
