Overview of Master Fee Schedule FY 2024-25
By law, most user fees are limited to the City’s reasonable cost of providing the service or benefit
Best practice, a user fee study should be conducted every 3 – 5 years Last year, Matrix Consulting Group completed the City’s study Interim years use Consumer Price Index (last year 2.40%) Except state mandate limits, deposits, convenience fees and rates regulated by different agency
2 Library
Library recommends eliminating the Past Due Patron Accounts Referred to a Collection Agency fee.
The Peninsula Library Automatic Network is no longer using an outside collection agency for overdue and lost item notices.
This fee does not require the Library Board’s vote.
3 Fire
Ambulance service transportation fees are below full cost recovery. The City is proposing to increase the fees by 10%.
Fire added a fee of $378 per hour for inspections outside of normal business hours (2 hours minimum) to pay for the cost of overtime and related benefits. 4 City Cost Study
