What is your vision for growth in South San Francisco?
I've been a resident of South San Francisco for 25 years and want to get more involved in my community to gain a better understanding of how the city operates, how government works and how residents can help create a more sustainable community for future generations.
I did a quick search on the SSF website and can't find a committee description or recommended requirements so this is a difficult question to answer without knowing the roles and responsibilities of what is required to serve on this committee.
However, I believe a fresh set of eyes is one of the best assets to a board or committee. People that are not close to the forest, see things in a way that others may not, bringing new thoughts, ideas and perspectives.
I've had to manage multiple budgets and understand the need to deliver on promises made and be fiscally responsible. Managing boards requires an incredible skill set of building relationships with a cross-section of stake holders, thoughts and opinions. I want to be able to represent my fellow residents.
Safety, fiscal responsibility, and a vibrant community that values the input of our residents.
