˝ My primary responsibilities include book shelving, event assistance, cleaning the youth library space, and assisting the Makerspace I believe that aging facilities within the South San Francisco Unified School District to be a major issue for both students and staff. As a high school student within the district, I understand that aging school facilities are a significant issue impacting students, teachers, and the South San Francisco Community. Many of our schools teach in buildings that aren’ t designed to accommodate modern educational needs or technologies. This leads to issues such as harmful learning conditions, lack of educational resources, and limited accessibility which hurts students ability to focus, learn, and thrive in an encouraging environment. By addressing this issue, we can ensure that our schools are places where young people can grow, develop, and reach their full potential.
