2 SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONNAIRE
Why are you interested in serving as a Boards and Commissions member? What do you feel you could contribute?
What qualifies you for this appointment?
What is your vision for growth in South San Francisco?
I'm interested in serving on the City's Boards and Commissions because I believe civic engagement starts with representation and shared responsibility. The Library Board, Equity and Public Safety Commission, and Cultural Arts Commission each align with my values of equity, eduxation and community connection. During my professional career, I served as co-chair of my company's AAPI employee group and was a founding member of "Filipinos at Apple". Through these roles,, I led initiatives that celebrated culturual heritage, fostered inclusion and encouraged collaboration across diverse teams.

These Experiences strengthened my belief that open dialogue and representation can lead to meaningful, lasting impact.

On the Equity and Public Safety Commission, I'd promote trust, inclusion and fairness in community policy.

On the Cultural Arts Commission, I'd help highlight the rol of arts in connecting people and fostering belonging.

I want to contribute my experience and perspective to help our community continue to grow in inclusion, creativity, and opportunity for all.

My qualifications stem from a combination of professional leadership, community engagement and a long-standing commitment to equity and culturual inclusion.

My experience in my professional career strengthened my ability to facilitate dialogue, represent diverse perspectives, and build concensus - all essential skills for serving on a civic commission.

I also bring strong organizational and communication skills developed through years of coordinating and collaboration with diverse teams and groups.

My vision for growth in South San Francisco is centered on inclusive progress — building a city that grows economically while preserving its diversity, creativity, and community spirit. I believe growth should mean more than new buildings; it should expand access to opportunity, learning, and cultural connection for all residents.

As the city evolves, I'd like to see continued investment in libraries, arts, and safe public spaces that bring people together and strengthen civic trust. By supporting education, cultural expression, and equity and inclusion in public policy, South San Francisco can remain a model for balanced and sustainable community development — one that ensures every resident feels represented, valued, and included in the city's future.
