SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONNAIRE
Why are you interested in serving as a Boards and Commissions member? What do you feel you could contribute?
I am interested in serving on the Conference Center Authority Board as a way of giving back to our local community. I have deep roots in South San Francisco, having grown up here most of my life, and my family has long been involved in the local business community through the South San Francisco Scavenger Co., Inc. Both my grandfather and my father dedicated their careers to serving this city in various capacities, and now I am eager to continue that tradition of public service.
As a licensed California CPA, I would bring a strong financial perspective to the Board. I can contribute by reviewing budgets and financial statements, providing input on financial policies, and supporting sound fiscal oversight to help ensure the Conference Center's long-term financial stability and success. I believe my professional experience, combined with my commitment to the community, would allow me to be an effective member of the Board.
What qualifies you for this appointment?
I am qualified to be a member of the Board due to my financial expertise, leadership, and strong ties to the local business community. I am a licensed California CPA and currently serve as the CFO/Treasurer of the South San Francisco Scavenger Co., Inc. and the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, where I am responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, and fiscal oversight.
In addition, I spent the early part of my career as a banker in the local community banking space, serving in roles related to financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
My professional background equips me to effectively review financial statements, evaluate budgets, and contribute to sound financial policies in support of the Conference Center Authority Board's responsibilities and goals. I believe my strong financial background and commitment to the local business community would make me an effective and responsible public steward.
What is your vision for growth in South San Francisco?
My vision for growth with respect to the South San Francisco Conference Center, is ensure that fiscal policy allows for a balance between increased utilization of the Conference Center and responsible coverage of operating and long-term maintenance costs. I believe thoughtful financial planning will ultimately provide the best benefit to the community. 2 The City of South San Francisco
