Why do you want to serve on the Youth Commission? Why do you believe the Youth Commission is important?
I would like to serve in the youth commission by hosting engaging lessons for children where they create different desserts that are still safe and enjoyable. i believe this would be important as it allows hands on experiences that introduce children into the culinary world opening more doors in the future. In addition I would hope to host bake sales in the community to donate for organizations that focus on child care and foundations who raise money for in need school programs.

Currently, I am in South San Francisco High Schools, Cooking club as l am the president, Please list school and community activities or service organizations in which you are involved in. paper work that is needed when fundraising, lastly I keep in mind with our budget while my role as president is i plan out meetings, keep my officers in check, while also filling out National History Day State Competition, where me and my partners work hard to research picking out things we would need to buy for meetings. In addition I was a competitor in the one of my partners being a procrastinator, teaching me patience, and how to deal with high and make our website as strong as possible, while also facing hardships like dealing with stress situations.
The Youth Commission addresses issues affecting youth and the community through making recommendations to City Council. Please explain what you believe is the biggest issue concerning youth in South San Francisco today.
I believe there should be more events that bring the community together, for example events that celebrate the city's community. I would recommend events that bring vendors together, celebrating cultural holidays like Lunar New Year and Dias De Los Muertos. Doing this would allow new opportunities for teens to volunteer, vendors to show their products, and for people to celebrate with their community.

I'm strong in leadership skills, communication, and collaboration. In addition I know a decent amount of Cantonese as I have grown up in an environment where my grandparents only know Chinese and I would help them translate.
EXPERIENCE
Cooking club - President

As a president of the cooking club I plan meetings where we decide what new recipes we should make and take into account my club members preferences and allergies. I ensure there is order in the club and make sure people know what to do while we are in the club.

One of my awards I have been a part of is the national history day and I went from the school competition to state where I unfortunately did not move on but I gained a lot of experience and hope to do it once more.
Extracurriculars
Varsity Girls golf-
As this was my first year playing golf, It helped me gain the passion of golfing and gain an interest in doing it more in the future. During my time in girls golf I got to play a few games and I would attend every practice I was able to go to.
