SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONDAIRE
Why do you want to serve on the Youth Commission? Why do you believe the Youth Commission is important?
To be more involved in the community if South San Francisco and more exposed to the possible problems/issues and governemnt in SOuth San Francisco. I believe the Youth Commsion is important because it encourages youth involvement and engagement in their community, which can lend different perspectives and ideas. I also think it is good experience and exposure for youth looking into government or community service.

SUPPLENENTAL OLESTIONDAIRE
Please list school and community activities or service organizations in which you are involved in.

Some community activites or services that I've been involved in are the following:
volunteering to watch kids grade k-5th in my school's After Care program; volunteer shelving books in the SSF Library; acting as an office aid in my school's administrative office (ie. refilling paper for industrial printers, running mail to teacher's mailboxes, some handling of money, and other varying tasks; part of my school's associated student body; and volunteering at different food drives and a recent toy drive (held in Orange park's rec. building)
The Youth Commission addresses issues affecting youth and the community through making recommendations to City Council. Please explain what you believe is the biggest issue concerning youth in South San Francisco today.
1 believe there is a lack of youth centered, safe, free events and places to have a teen/youth community. Open gyms are an example of this. Though there are open gyms like Terra Bay, there are a few draw backs to Terra Bay. It is not free, harder to access (up a hill to go to and surrounded by only residential houses), and not well known or highly publicized. For many teens/youth a well known, free, open gym that is easy to walk to or transport to by themself can be a place to create community, hang-out, and be active with other youth for free away from their phone.

Can you commit to attending 6:30 p.m. meetings on the third Monday of each month? DYES •NO If no, please explain:
