Resolution No.

STOCKTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 1 WITH BAYLOR SERVICES INC. FOR CLEANUP OF MCLEOD LAKE AT WEBER POINT AND DECARLI PLAZA Over the past years, the McLeod Lake waterway has diminished in popularity, particularly during the summer months, due to invasive water hyacinth, trash, debris, and harmful algae blooms; and As a result, the City contracted with Baylor Services Inc. of Stockton for two (2) cleanups per year at McLeod Lake with a daily rate of $3,625 that was all inclusive (staff, equipment, materials) totaling $72,500 and contract expiration date of July 1, 2025; and It was found that two (2) cleanups per year were insufficient due to the volume of water hyacinth and trash accumulation at McLeod Lake and the recommendation is to increase cleanups to four (4) per month through August 2022; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STOCKTON, AS FOLLOWS:

Contract Amendment No. 1 in the amount of $65,000 to Baylor Services Inc. is approved, and the City Manager is authorized and directed to execute same, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 1 and incorporated by reference.
