I am a Seventeen-year employee of the State of California, with considerable experience in customer service, management and communications. Recently, I retired from The Department of Corrections, for medical reasons and to help take in six foster children. I have a Bachelor Degree in Investigations, from Bellevue University. I am married for fifteen-years, to an wonderful husband who also works for the Department of Corrections, as an Correctional Officer and we have three adult children and four children under guardianship. I am a true professional who values and respects the City of Stockton as a prior Board member for Measure W Oversight Committee. I believe from serving on this committee, I have the ability to discuss issues in a professional manner and help oversee the City's merit system. I possess leadership skills and the ability to help promote the best qualified people for City jobs. In addition, I am confident enough to discuss views with all levels of staff and executives within organization without the fear of rejection or reprimand. My investigative skills and expertise's will assist me with holding hearings for workers who have been treated unfairly. I also have a proven track record of developing action plans and following through to achieve goals. If elected, I will do this job well.

Serving on the Equal Opportunity Commission Board is an opportunity to give my time to an organization that I am passionate about. I am eager to participate at every meeting and willing to prepare ahead for meetings. I am anxious to serve on this committee because I have a strong desire for stewardship to others. I was born and raised in Stockton, CA. I graduated from Lincoln Highschool and played football there. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of the Pacific. I also attended the Drivon School of Law for 15 months but did not graduate. I understand the issues that the Stockton community faces and how the people can make a difference. I worked for Josh Harder for Congress as a Political Canvasser and it helped me make a difference through speaking to residents of all backgrounds in the community. I also have helped in bringing my fraternity back to campus at the University of the Pacific where the new members have ties to the Stockton community. I know that my abilities to relate to people of all backgrounds, nationalities and socioeconomic statuses, as well as my education can be a great asset to the City of Stockton.

Occasionally my law firm takes cases where there is an employment dispute with the City of Stockton. If that occurred I may have to recuse myself from deciding. However, this did not come up at all in the last three years, so it probably wouldn't happen again.

I'd want to volunteer my time to the community in Stockton I live in my community and care about people well being, I am a Real Estate Agent and Loan Signing Agent Notary been working for 19 years servicing and living in Stockton Ca. My interests involving range from local community volunteer teaching Basis Sign Language in Elementary Schools and Public Library. I have served on the Boards, I'm serving on Stockton-San Joaquin Lions Club as the Chair of Marketing. I have been actively involved in different community events, I have served on the City of Stockton Civil Service Commission and City of Stockton Mayor's Task Force on Persons on Disabilities Committee, and Cultural Heritage Board also I'm a Radio Host of the Vigil Show on Sunday and Monday from 3 pm to 4 pm interview local community leader and nonprofit organization inclusive with Sign Language for the Deaf Community KXVS Radio, I am also interested in Public Advocacy for Disabilities Rights and Anti-Bully and Art Programs within the community.
