CIUDAD DE STOCKTON

AVISO DE CAMBIOS DE USO DE SUELOS INICIADOS POR LA CIUDAD Estimado propietario,

CITY OF STOCKTON

NOTICE OF CITY-INITIATED LAND USE CHANGES
Dear
Property Owner,
The Ci
ty of Stockton relies on the General Plan, the General Plan Land Use Map, the Citywide Zoning Map, and the Development Code to regulate development to maintain orderly growth and implement the community’s goals. State law and the General Plan require these items to be consistent with each other. To ensure this consistency, the City of Stockton spent years working with property owners to make numerous amendments to those documents. While these amendments concluded in 2022, City staff has received additional owner feedback and discovered some remaining properties that require a consistency correction.

You are receiving this notice because City staff is investigating a possible inconsistency on a property you may own.

This
update focuses on ensuring that the Zoning Map matches the General Plan land use map by addressing technical issues, such as map corrections for split zones or adjustments to improve the site’s usability. These updates will keep the rules that apply to most properties in the City. City staff intends to reach out to owners like yourself for feedback at a neighborhood meeting on March 23, 2023, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Cesar Chavez Library, 605 N. El Dorado Street, Stockton, CA 95202. Please direct all questions or comments to Matt Diaz, Advanced Planning Manager.
