STOCKTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NOTICE OF EXEMPTION NO. NOE32-22, APPROVING THE SPECIFICATIONS, AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE CITYWIDE TREE MAINTENANCE, PROJECT NO. WE22052 On November 3, 2022, the City Clerk of the City of Stockton opened, examined, and publicly declared the sealed proposals or bids offered for the Citywide Tree Maintenance, Project No. WE22052; and The Citywide Tree Maintenance project will prune 23,947 City-owned trees, remove 165 dead or unhealthy trees and 567 tree stumps, and clearance trimming at 180 signalized intersections citywide; and P31 Enterprises, Inc. is the lowest responsive bidder in the amount of $3,791,766.09, and its bid is regular in all respects; and The project is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as specified under section 15301(c) of the CEQA Guidelines, because this is a discretionary project under the City’s jurisdiction and qualifies as a project which has been determined to not have a significant effect on the environment; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STOCKTON, AS FOLLOWS:
The City Council approves the filing of Notice of Exemption No. NOE32-22 under the CEQA for the Citywide Tree Maintenance, Project No. WE22052, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 1 and incorporated by this reference.
The City Council approves the specifications for the Citywide Tree Maintenance, Project No. WE22052.
The City Council awards a Construction Contract between the City of Stockton and P31 Enterprises, Inc., in the amount of $3,791,766.09, and the City Manager is authorized and directed to execute same, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 2 and incorporated by this reference. //

The City Manager is hereby authorized to take whatever actions are necessary and appropriate to carry out the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
