As former Vice Mayor for the City of Stockton I became aware of just how many complaints the ridership had regarding service. I returned all my calls and would forward refer the information to SJRTD. When my Council period termed out, Donna DeMartino, the CEO/General Manger for SJRTD sought me out and asked me to be a Board Member for her.

I have become aware that many of our customers have no other means of transportation.
The physically challenged, the visually challenge and the financially challenged. I believe people who are in a position that affects funding to SJRTD, and who have many choices in their transportation needs, do not appreciate the service we provide. Our ridership should have the highest priority when funding issues are in question.
