STOCKTON CITY COUNCIL
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A REVISED CITY COUNCIL POLICY CHAPTER 3.02 CITY COUNCIL AND MAYORAL APPOINTMENTS TO COMMITTEES, BOARDS, AND COMMISSIONS AND CHAPTER 3.03 ATTENDANCE POLICY FOR APPOINTEES Chapter 3.02 of the Council Policy Manual addresses the procedures by which members are recruited to Committees, Boards, and Commissions; and Chapter 3.03 of the Council Policy Manual addresses the procedures by which attendance is monitored for appointed members of Boards and Commissions; and The Legislation and Environmental Committee voted on May 25, 2024, to forward a recommendation to Council to make changes to improve the recruitment and attendance monitoring process for Boards and Commissions; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STOCKTON, AS FOLLOWS:
City Council approves the revised City Council Policy 3.02 entitled “City Council and Mayoral Appointments to Committees, Boards, and Commissions;” attached hereto as “Exhibit 1.” City Council approves the revised City Council Policy 3.03 entitled “Attendance Policy for Appointees;” attached hereto as “Exhibit 2.” The City Manager is hereby authorized to take appropriate and necessary actions to carry out the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
