Resolution No.
STOCKTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NOTICE OF EXEMPTION NO. NOE20-24, APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE FIBER SEGMENT CONSTRUCTION, PROJECT NO. WARP504 On July 11, 2024, the City Clerk of the City of Stockton opened, examined, and publicly declared the sealed proposals or bids offered for the Fiber Segment Construction, Project No. WARP504; and The project will construct a segment identified in the Fiber Optic Master Plan along El Dorado Street through Downtown with connections between City buildings and traffic signal cabinets. Construction includes additional conduits that could be used in the future for City-owned infrastructure purposes; and Tim Paxin’s Pacific Excavation, Inc. dba Pacific Excavation, Inc. (Pacific Excavation Inc.) is the lowest responsive bidder, in the amount of $2,349,908, and its bid is regular in all respects; and The project is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as specified under section 15301(c) of the CEQA Guidelines, because this is a discretionary project under the City’s jurisdiction and qualifies as a project which has been determined to not have a significant effect on the environment; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STOCKTON, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council approves the filing of Notice of Exemption No. NOE20-24 under CEQA for the Fiber Segment Construction, Project No. WARP504, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 1 and incorporated by this reference.
