STOCKTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE COUNTY-CITY AGREEMENTS FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF ARCH AIRPORT ROAD AND GIANNECCHINI LANE, AND ARCH AIRPORT ROAD AND POCK LANE Transportation projects sharing City and San Joaquin County jurisdictions require mutual participation and coordination to effectively administer project implementation and ongoing operation and maintenance; and As part of the San Joaquin County Airpark 599 Development, certain roadway segments, including a portion of the intersections of Arch Airport Road and Giannecchini Lane, and Arch Airport Road and Pock Lane, have been annexed into City limits; and Currently, at the intersection of Arch Airport Road and Giannecchini Lane, the City jurisdiction falls on the northern portion of the intersection, while San Joaquin County jurisdiction falls on the southern portion; and Currently, at the intersection of Arch Airport Road and Pock Lane the City jurisdiction falls on the northern portion of the intersection, while San Joaquin County jurisdiction falls on the southern portion; and The City will take the lead on the maintenance and operation of these traffic signals, with San Joaquin County reimbursing the City for their share of the costs according to the County-City Agreements; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STOCKTON, AS FOLLOWS:
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement between the City of Stockton and San Joaquin County to share with the City the cost to maintain and operate the traffic signal at the intersection of Arch Airport Road and Giannecchini Lane, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 1 and incorporated by this reference.
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement between the City of Stockton and San Joaquin County to share with the City the cost to maintain and operate the traffic signal at the intersection of Arch Airport Road and Pock Lane, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 2 and incorporated by this reference.
The City Manager is hereby authorized to take whatever actions are necessary and appropriate to carry out the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
