STOCKTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION APPOINTING KATHERINE ROLAND AS CITY CLERK FOR THE CITY OF STOCKTON AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT On May 14, 2024, the City Council appointed Katherine Roland as Interim City Clerk; and The City Council also retained an outside recruiter to help conduct a nationwide search with a focus on California, for the next City Clerk; and Following a months-long process, the City Council narrowed down the list of qualified candidates and conducted final interviews on October 30, 2024; and The City Council now desires to appoint Katherine Roland as City Clerk of the City of Stockton, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STOCKTON, AS FOLLOWS:
Katherine Roland is appointed as the City Clerk for the City of Stockton.
The Mayor is authorized, on behalf of the City Council, to execute the attached employment agreement with Katherine Roland marked as Exhibit 1, setting forth the terms and conditions of employment effective November 12, 2024.
The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to take whatever actions are necessary and appropriate to carry out the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
