I am a 5th Generation. My Grandfather was Angelo Sanguinetti and Mayor/City Council person in the late 40's and involved in City politics right up to his death in 1987. My dad worked for the City of Stockton Public Works Dept from 1960-1965 and then formed the present company I operate today in 1967. He was heavily involved in local politics and urban development throughout his live until his death in 2000. I grew in the engineering/survey business, attended Franklin High School, Delta College, Skyline College & SF State, married since 1984 and have 3 children & 2 grand children. 2 of my children have full time jobs. The oldest works for the Port of Stockton Police Dept and my daughter is a Civil Engineer in the Bay Area. My youngest is UNR. As eluded too I have grown up here and love my City, have served on numerous boards since the early 90's, The Children's Home Board, County Housing Board of Appeals, City Charter Revision Commission, Development Oversight Commission, Water Advisory Group, Planning Commissioner and have participated in numerous Planning Commission meeting through out my life along with other group meetings. In lieu of just contributing money, which I do not have a lot of to give I find pleasure in giving my time to my community and speaking up and participating to try an make Stockton a better place for all.

As expressed above I enjoy participating and giving my time to the commissions I serve on. I have previously served 4 years as a Planning Commissioner for my council district and would like to serve again for the Mayor Elect. Currently planning commission is in the middle of a very important task recommending an update to the City's Development Code to the City Council along with other important planning issues that will also come up. So with my engineering & planning background I feel that I provide a good check and balance to a planning commission that provides recommendations to the City Council along with helping other Planning Commissioners understand the planning process. My goal would be to as a Commissioner to provide as much feedback as possible to help provide a better Development Code that everybody can benefit from and make our City a better place to live and raise our families. Also to provide support on other planning issues given my background and experience.

I have been in the following appointed positions: 1) Children's Home Board Member (1993- 2003) 2) COS Development Oversight Commissioner (Beginning to End) 3) SJ County Board of Housing Appeals (1994 - 2021) 4) COS Charter Revision Commissioner (Beginning to End) 5) COS Water Advisory Group (Beginning + 10 years) 8 when 1st formed and currently 2 yrs since appointed again 6) COS Planning Commissioner (4 yrs, 2019-2023) How did you hear about the position?
I follow the elections and community Boards & Commissions along with understanding the codes & policies that relate to being a Board Member and/or Commissioner.
City Council Policy 100-2 states that Commissioners are required to attend meetings on a regular basis. If appointed, will you be able to attend meetings regularly and devote the time necessary to fulfill your duties as a member?

Yes, my Engineering Business does potentially have a conflict of interest for a specific project that I recuse myself from. the City Attorney and staff are fully aware. During my previous Commissioner appointment it really didn't come up very often and when it did I always recused myself and/or discussed it directly with the City Attorney to ensure any potential conflict was not an issue.

Because only potential projects with a conflict of interest have a direct impact on my income and I am required to recuse myself of making decisions affecting those projects. As for existing properties or investments, they already exist and based on my best judgement I have not seen one instance that I have encountered that decisions I have been involved in on all the Commissions/Boards that I have served on has there been any benefit to me or my spouse directly related to my decisions.
