My wife and I moved to Stockton to raise our family in February of 2021 during the pandemic. I work remotely for Ernst & Young, LLP currently out of the San Francisco and San Diego offices. I have two young sons (Norman 3 and Roman 2) who were recently born at St.
Joseph's and attend St. Luke's Pre-School. My wife Nicola Hughes family has lived in Stockton for 5 generations (Hurley and Busalacchi families) and she asked me if I'd be interested in getting involved in volunteering with the city and connected me with Michael Blower who recommend I apply for a board or commission of interest.

Since my work life is remote and I don't know a wide variety of people in the Stockton Area outside of family, I thought it would be productive way I could connect with Stocktonian's and help bring some of my financial/analytical experience to help advise on city issues.as my wife and I are planning to be in Stockton for the foreseeable future I thought this would be a good way to get involved.

In the past I have held several roles of treasurer for condo associations and been in finance roles for not for profit entities. This is my first time applying for any government advisory group.
How did you hear about the position?
I connect with Councilmember Michael Blower during his one-on-one community sessions who mentioned that serving on board/commission is a great way to get involved in the community.
City Council Policy 100-2 states that Commissioners are required to attend meetings on a regular basis. If appointed, will you be able to attend meetings regularly and devote the time necessary to fulfill your duties as a member?
