STOCKTON CITY COUNCIL
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING CITY COUNCIL POLICY MANUAL CHAPTER 2.09, PUBLIC RECORDS REQUESTS The responsibility of Public Records Requests has been transferred to the City Clerk’s Office; and The existing Administrative Directive LAW-02 is no longer applicable; and The Public Records Request process is best supported by a Council Policy; and The Legislation and Environmental Committee voted on May 27, 2025, to approve forwarding a recommendation to Council to adopt the proposed City Council Policy Manual Chapter 2.09 – Public Records Requests; and After the Legislation and Environmental Committee meeting, a section was added regarding the search of personal devices; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STOCKTON, AS FOLLOWS:
City Council approves and adopts City Council Policy 2.09 entitled “Public Records Requests;” attached hereto as “Exhibit 1.” The City Clerk is hereby authorized to take appropriate and necessary actions to carry out the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
