STOCKTON CITY COUNCIL
ADOPT A RESOLUTION APPOINTING STEVE COLANGELO AS INTERIM CITY MANAGER FOR THE CITY OF STOCKTON On February 4, 2025, the City Council appointed Steve Colangelo as Interim City Manager for the City of Stockton effective February 11, 2025; and The contract with Steve Colangelo for the Interim City Manager position expired on August 9, 2025; and The City Council appointed William Crew as Acting City Manager effective August 9, 2025; and
On July 29, 2025, the City Council met in Closed Session and deliberated regarding the appointment of Steve Colangelo as Interim City Manager and directed the City Attorney to make an offer and negotiate an employment contract with Steve Colangelo; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STOCKTON, AS FOLLOWS:
1. Steve Colangelo is appointed as Interim City Manager of the City of Stockton.
2. The Mayor is authorized, on behalf of the City Council, to execute the attached employment agreement with Steve Colangelo marked as Exhibit 1, setting forth the terms and conditions of employment, effective August __, 2025.
3. The Acting City Manager or designee is authorized to take such other actions as necessary and appropriate to carry out the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
