Interests & Experiences
Please tell us about yourself and why you want to serve.

My commitment to Stockton is rooted in years of professional and community engagement focused on strengthening quality of life, safety, and opportunity for residents across the city.

I am deeply invested in supporting thoughtful, transparent decision-making that advances equitable outcomes for our community. Professionally, I am a bilingual community leader with over a decade of experience in nonprofit operations, diversity, equity and inclusion strategy, and community engagement. My work has included developing and scaling programs, managing multi-hundred-thousand-dollar budgets, and advising organizations and community partners on equitable and effective resource allocation. I have held leadership roles at the University of the Pacific, consulted on organizational development, and built strong partnerships across sectors. I am also the founder of Toda Mujer, a local initiative dedicated to uplifting Latina women through leadership development, presentations, workshops, and community-based events. Through this work, I have led bilingual programming that connects participants to resources, civic knowledge, and support networks. I was honored to be recognized as the 2024 Young Professional of the Year by the San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for my community impact. I want to serve on the Measure A Citizens Advisory Committee because I believe informed, transparent, and inclusive fiscal oversight of public funds is essential to building community trust and achieving equitable outcomes. Based on my experience in budget oversight, community engagement, and advisory leadership, I would be a strong asset to the committee in supporting thoughtful recommendations that meaningfully benefit Stockton residents.

Please state the reason you would like to be a member of this board/commission.

Measure A represents a significant community investment in Stockton’s public safety, crime prevention efforts, and essential services. The Citizens Advisory Committee plays a critical role in ensuring these funds are used transparently, responsibly, and in alignment with voter intent. I am interested in serving because I am committed to financial accountability, informed oversight, and community-centered decision-making. With my background in budget oversight, equity-driven programming, and civic engagement, I am prepared to thoughtfully review expenditures, analyze financial and audit reports, and provide informed recommendations to the City Council. I value collaboration with city staff and the public, and I believe strong oversight helps build trust in local government. Serving on this committee would allow me to contribute my skills while helping ensure Measure A continues to strengthen public safety and community services in ways that are transparent, responsive, and impactful for Stockton’s diverse residents.
