STOCKTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION APPROVING CITY MANAGER JOHNNY R. FORD FIRST AMENDED EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT Johnny R. Ford was appointed as the City Manager in Stockton on November 19, 2025, after a nationwide search; and
The City Council has reviewed and considered proposed amendments to the employment agreement with Mr. Ford; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STOCKTON, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The First Amended Employment Agreement with Johnny R. Ford, marked as Exhibit 1, setting forth the terms and conditions of employment effective August 20, 2026, is approved.
2. Staff is authorized to amend the City of Stockton salary schedule to reflect the increase in City Manager base salary, as approved.
3. The Mayor is authorized, on behalf of the City Council, to execute the attached First Amended Employment Agreement.
4. The Mayor is further authorized and directed to take whatever actions are necessary and appropriate to carry out the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
