STOCKTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION APPOINTING BONNIE PAIGE AS INTERIM CITY CLERK FOR THE CITY OF STOCKTON AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT City Clerk Katherine Roland submitted her resignation effective September 26, 2026; and To ensure the continuation of essential services, the City Council desires to appoint Bonnie Paige as Interim City Clerk effective September 16, 2026, while the City is searching for a replacement; and Bonnie served as Stockton’s City Clerk from July 11, 2011, to July 15, 2017, and is uniquely suited to serving as Stockton’s Interim City Clerk; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STOCKTON, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That effective September 16, 2026, Bonnie Paige is appointed to serve as Interim City Clerk for the City of Stockton.
2. The Mayor is authorized, on behalf of the City Council, to execute the attached Employment Agreement marked as Exhibit 1, setting forth the terms and conditions of employment.
3. The City Manager is further authorized and directed to take whatever actions are necessary and appropriate to carry out the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
