CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to Government Code Subdivision 54953(e), the meeting was conducted telephonically; pursuant to state law, the City Council made the necessary findings by adopting Resolution No. 1089-21, reaffirmed on January 25, 2022.
Chair Wang called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

PRESENTATION
22-0342 PRESENTATION - Lakewood Branch Library and Learning Center - Update
Superintendent Steve Sloan presented the update on the Lakewood Branch Library and Learning Center. Highlights included: schedule/timeline, community outreach, meeting community needs, partnering to achieve goals, exterior/interior concept design, nature design theme, floorplan, operations, Makerspace, Tech Skills and Creations Labs, and event/meeting spaces.

Chair Wang spoke about her presentation at a Neighborhood Association Meeting regarding the Board of Library Trustees.
-Staff Comments
Superintendent Steve Sloan introduced the new Library and Recreation Services Department's Director, Michelle Perera and spoke about: the library's closure during the staff in-service day on March 4; the Friends of the Library's generous pledge to the branch library; updated health guidelines; library programs resuming in person; Silicon Valley Reads events; Friends book sale on March 19-20; and the Freshest Cargo Farmers Market on the library plaza every Tuesday.
